Position: SHIFT SUPERVISOR
Reports To: Production Supervisor and/or Production
Manager
Supervises: Lead Operators, Machine Operators, Material
Handlers and Mold Set-up Technicians.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to
the following:
- Supervises and trains all production staff
and monitors all aspects of the production department.
- Conducts follow up training and reviews
for all production staff.
- Coordinates and schedules work required
for the shift.
- Schedules, performs and/or oversees all
equipment maintenance for the production department.
- Completes all required documentation.
- Monitors and maintains running machines
and molds, using processing and technical skills to
produce quality parts at optimum cycle times.
- Follow and obey all Safety Rules and
Housekeeping Standards.
It is important that the person filling this position have
knowledge of equipment including injection mold machines, support
equipment and QC inspection tools.
Personal qualifications for an ideal Molding Supervisor would
be ability, self-motivated, requiring little or no supervision,
excellent communication skills and have an aptitude for learning
new tasks in a fast paced environment. Must work well with others
and have a teamwork mentality.
